Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. Verein Innovation und Soziales holds tax-exempt status under Swiss law (ruling of the Canton of Bern tax administration dated 8 April 2026, Art. 83 para. 1 lit. g StG / Art. 56 lit. g DBG). Donations are tax-deductible for Swiss taxpayers, provided your total gifts to tax-exempt organisations reach CHF 100 in the tax year (Art. 33a DBG / Art. 38a para. 1 lit. a StG BE) and do not exceed 20% of net income overall. Donors resident in Liechtenstein are subject to Liechtenstein tax law — please consult your local tax advisor. Donors in other countries should refer to the tax laws of their country of residence.
You receive an automatic e-mail confirmation immediately after donating. For donations of CHF 100 or more, we issue a donation receipt automatically. For smaller amounts, we're happy to send a receipt on request — even small donations can be tax-deductible if your total gifts reach CHF 100 in the tax year. For donations by bank transfer, we send the receipt once a year in January, covering the entire previous year.
What does your donation achieve?
Your contribution supports the development of ERIDA — Switzerland's first evidence-based refugee-integration platform, currently in pilot phase with the Canton of Bern. The association works toward measurable outcomes: more efficient processes for cantonal services and NGOs, and faster access to integration for refugees. As a public-benefit association, we use all funds exclusively for our statutory purposes.
Institutional contributions and larger gifts
For institutional contributions or gifts of CHF 500 or more, please contact us directly at: board@innosocial.ch. We will be glad to tell you about specific support packages and how your contribution is used.
