ERIDA starts a closed pilot of its Legal Information Assistant with the University of Bern

In May 2026, ERIDA started a closed pilot of ERIDA Lex, its Legal Information Assistant, together with the University of Bern. ERIDA Lex is a multilingual AI assistant that gives information on legal and administrative topics in Switzerland. It is the first module of the ERIDA platform and does not replace legal advice.
Invited users tested the assistant. They could also complete a voluntary questionnaire. The research partner, the Institute of Sociology at the University of Bern, accompanied the pilot with research on how participants use and experience the assistant.
The pilot is part of the preliminary study supported by an Innosuisse innovation cheque. According to the project record in ARAMIS, the study includes testing the first ERIDA agent, the legal assistant, together with the University of Bern.
